Can't travel to the French countryside this summer? Me neither.
We may not be traveling, but we can bring a little bit of France into our own kitchens by making the classic French cheese, Fromage Blanc!
Join The Fermentation School and me, Claudia, for a fun, beginner-friendly cheesemaking workshop.
If we have not met, I'm Claudia Lucero, cheesemaker, author of several cheesemaking books and founder of Urban Cheesecraft.
Never heard of Fromage Blanc? This classic French cultured cheese is wonderfully creamy, fluffy, and incredibly versatile. If you've tried the goat's milk version, chèvre, you'll recognize the style but I think Fromage Blanc is lighter and more delicious. Better yet, it teaches the same foundational skills you'll use for many more advanced cheeses.
We'll complete the main steps together in less than an hour. Then you'll simply let the cheese culture overnight before draining, chilling, and flavoring it the next day. Don't worry, I’ll guide you through every step.
In less than 24 hours, you'll have a beautiful homemade cheese that just might become a new favorite. All you need is some French bubbly!
See you soon, Claudia
